TEN COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

     1. What is B.E.B.E.?

B.E.B.E. is a small unique custom tour company that specializes in creating one of kind trips around Brazil. There is a personalized focus in mind for their clients which allow the client to help in the custom design of their particular excursion.

2. Why do we have to travel with backpacks?

The reason for the backpacks is that we will stay in locations for varied amounts of time. It could be 1-3 days depending on the place and how everyone feels about the place. Also we could be staying in a tiny Pousada on the beach that takes 45 minutes to walk to, or we may stay in a 5 star resort that you can only get to by helicopter, or we may need to travel by bus, train, plane, or car. In essence everyone needs to be mobile and organized.

3. When are trips scheduled?

The trips occur whenever we have 2-12 like minded willing clients who are interested in seeing a very unique Brazil through the eyes of locals and guides. Generally the trips are either couples, all guys, or all girls traveling together.There is no rule on this, but this generally seems to be the case. These are usually adult only trips but if the right family group were to come together we would be happy to provide a custom trip for your group.

4. How long are the trips?

The trips are a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 14 days. This depends on how much you want to see in Brazil and what your activities consist of exactly. It also depends on your specific budget and the means of transportation that your budget will afford.

5. What types of activities are possible?

Here are the possibilities that we currently have organized. Surfing, kite surfing, hangliding, dune buggy trips, BMW motorcycle excursions, hiking trips ect… You tell us what you want and we can arrange it.

6. Is this an Eco-tourism tour company?

No----we are whatever your groups wants us to be. If you want to stay in 5-star resorts, travel by helicopter, eat lobster from local fisherman, stay in a beach house, party all night in the best clubs in the world, go to non tourist destinations in the interior of Brazil- where they never even see a foreigner, or simply relax on the best beaches in the world around Brazil. It is up to you!!!  Your group is in charge of deciding what type of trip you would like. We just have you fill out an application with your interests and your specific budget and we plan the entire trip for you.

7. Who are the guides?

There are 4 primary guides. One who is located in the U.S. and 3 others that are located in Fortaleza. The guides speak a total of 7 languages and have extensive travel experience in Brazil and around the world. They have made local contacts around Brazil and around the world and have an extensive understanding of how to create the most unique trips imaginable for your time in Brazil. 8. How do I pay for this?

You can pay for your trip with visa, Master card, or by direct deposit in Brazil or the United States.

9. How much do I pay for my trip?

You are creating a custom trip by the activities that you select and the budget you have created for yourself. We will handle all flights, transfers, and lodging, as well as some excursions. You will be required to pay half up front and the rest when you arrive in Brazil. Since there is considerable planning involved- your deposits are non-refundable. However if you give us at least 3 weeks notice of cancellation then we can re-schedule your excursion and apply your deposit to that trip. We will only do this one time for our clients.

10. What type of people is this excursion best for?

This was created because you have these primary options for travel in Brazil. You can:

1. Go it alone and figure it out as you go.

2. Stay in a big 5-star all inclusive resort and learn nothing about Brazil.

3. Go with a large tour group and be organized and fed similar to cattle.

4. Go on an eco tour and see beautiful scenic places with lots of people

5. Hire an individual Brazilian guide who has limited international understanding or cultural understanding of the world.
