Policy & Procedures

In addition to owning its own properties, Fortaleza Apartment Rentals is a full service property management company.  Fortaleza Apartment Rentals represents property owners/Investors as well as works with other property management companies to fulfill our client’s rental needs.  In the case of properties not owned by Fortaleza Apartment Rentals, the owners or management companies of these properties may have policy and procedures that may differ from the policy and procedures of Fortaleza Apartment Rentals.  We will advise you prior to your reservation of the specific policy and procedures set forth by the owner/ property Management Company pertaining to the property you choose to rent with Fortaleza Apartment Rentals.              

Making an Inquiry About Rentals: 

Please send us an email or call the U.S. number or Skype name that is listed in the contact page. We will get back to you as soon as possible—usually within a few hours.

Making a Reservation and Paying a Deposit

Once you have agreed to rent a specific property with Fortaleza Apartment Rentals you will be required to make a deposit* to confirm the reservation. The deposit can be made using your Visa, Master Card or American Express via our Pay Pal account or by depositing the monies directly to or American or Brazilian bank accounts and via Western Union.  We will assist you in arranging the most convenient method to make your deposit.

* Deposits can range from 25% to 50% depending on the specific property and time of year.

Arrival and Check in:

Upon your arrival to Brazil we will request that you contact us via telephone to confirm your arrival. Once you have cleared customs and received your baggage you will need to take a taxi or pre-arrange with Fortaleza Apartment Rentals to have a private car/driver pick you up and deliver you to your apartment.

Once you have arrived at your apartment a representative from Fortaleza Apartment Rentals will meet you at the lobby area of the apartment building. The representative will then show you to your apartment explain the operational details of the apartment and give you the keys, at this time you will be required to pay the remainder of the rent due and the required security deposit in cash.  The security deposit will be returned to the client upon check out pending inspection of the apartment. The check in is then complete.

 

Check Out and Departure:

At check out a representative from Fortaleza Apartment Rentals will meet you at the apartment at a pre arranged time. The representative will inspect the apartment, the security deposit monies will be returned to the client. (If there is damage or missing items in the apartment you will be charged accordingly) We will then collect the keys and then the check out is complete. At your request prior to departure Fortaleza Apartment Rentals can arrange a private car/driver to deliver you to the airport.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation of a reservation prior to 30 days of scheduled arrival date will result in an 80% refund (Plus associated cost to return funds to client) of reservation deposit. Cancellation of a reservation within 30 days of scheduled arrival date will result in a forfeit of full amount of reservation deposit.
